The Hair Cuttery is not a professional place to get your hair cut. It must be a place for new stylists and other people who cannot get a job in a better salon. I was wary going in because I wasn't sure that the stylist understood what I wanted because of her challenges speaking English. She assured me that she understood that I wanted a shorter layered cut that I could part with a comb. My anxiety increased when I saw her pull out her clippers and start shaving, not cutting, my hair. When both my dad and I asked her to stop, she refused and said "no" she knew what I wanted. If you want your hair cut the way you want it, DO NOT go to the Hair Cuttery. It is too risky because you might get someone good, but there is just as strong a chance you will get a stubborn, unreliable stylist who is too lazy to actually cut your hair with scissors. Even after she was told to stop, she would repeat the process of making my hair even shorter. Thankfully, I'm not bald, but I look like I was just release from a Siberian gulag.
I've been coming to the HAIR CUTTERY for some time about 1 year now. I'm always very pleased with the outstanding service at this store. I would like to especially mention the exceptional and professional service that TIGIST S. gives me. She is always professional and very proficient.
These stylist are excellent. I started going there in 2003 and never went anywhere else since then. It all depends on the type of style you want. This place does a great job for afro-american hair styles!
